MOTs and pre-test inspections

If your MOT due date is coming up, book online for a DVSA approved MOT test with Teds Auto Tech and 4 (Cars and vans up to 3,000kg GVW) vehicles. Not only do we provide a professional MOT test conducted by a DVSA nominated tester, we also offer pre-test inspections for customers that might be worried whether they will pass the first time.

To give our customers peace of mind when it comes to their MOT test, we can inspect certain elements of your car you might be worried about before your MOT is due. We can then advise you on work that needs to be done and provide you with a free quote.

If your car fails the MOT requiring repairs, we will let you know what work needs to be done and will provide an estimate to complete the work. We won’t do any work without your approval. Once your repairs are complete we can then retest your vehicle free of charge.

If you choose to take your car away for any repair work. You are entitled to a free retest within 14 days of the original test.

Remember do not drive your car without a valid MOT unless to the garage where you’re going to get the repairs required, it could leave you with a hefty fine and invalidates any insurance that you have too.

You can present your car for a MOT 28 days before the due date and still preserve your expiry date.
